Junghae Park
Park Junghae explores various themes in her paintings and drawings, focusing on how to interpret intangible environmental factors such as light, water, and thermal energy, which exist in physical space and time and are perceived conceptually. At the same time, she imagines and documents the layered physical dimensions of space and time surrounding the work. In her work, accidental paint drops or marks and objects such as colored paper create solid spatial layers through overlapping surfaces and lines, embodied with a unique abstraction that conveys emotions through color psychology.
She has held solo exhibitions in South Korea, such as Zettelkasten (SPACE ÆFTER, Seoul, 2025), Ancient Refrigerator (CYLINDER, Seoul, 2024), Jetlag (N/A, Seoul, 2024), Mellow Melody (Whistle, Seoul, 2021), Xagenexx (Onground2, Seoul, 2017), and Dear. Drops (Archive Bomm, Seoul, 2016), and has participated in group exhibitions at institutions in South Korea, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul Museum of Art, Ilmin Museum of Art, Hite Collection, DOOSAN Gallery Seoul, and the Busan Biennale.
