Jihee Kim
Jihee Kim is an artist and educator who was born and raised in Seoul. Her work explores the deconstruction and reinterpretation of conventional perceptions through the metaphors of books, bodies, and gardens. She studied Fine Art at Dongguk University, earned an MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London, and completed her PhD at Ewha Womans University with the dissertation Covered Images, Strange Bodies. Currently, She is a professor in the Department of Fine Arts at Dongguk University. Her practice spans painting, drawing, printmaking, and installation, with a strong focus on material exploration and pushing the boundaries of experimentation. She also engages in participatory drawing workshops, fostering dialogue with London, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, and Taipei audiences.
